Disney Cars Theme Birthday Party Ideas
When Pixar's latest offering Cars came out, many children and their parents were enchanted by the stop motion film. With lovable characters and a can-do attitude, it is easy to see why so many parents would approve of their children watching this movie, but have you thought of integrating this great family film with your child's birthday? A child's birthday is a very special thing, and you'll find that when you integrate some themes from their favorite movie into it, you'll see that you can create a truly memorable experience.
Decorations
While of course you could decorate the walls with posters or use Cars birthday decorative plates or tablecloths, why not go for a more subtle route and go for bright, bold colors and racing stripes? You'll find that with a little bit of paint and some disposable table clothes that this is simple to do, and you can drape your couches and your tables to give a real race-day vibe. You'll also find that the these covers make for excellent protection from spills. Think about putting up signs from the movie's Historic Route 66 as well.
“Bodywork”
One of the things that kids remember from the films is the paint job on all of their favorite vehicles, so think about letting the kids freshen up their own paint jobs as well! Break out the acrylic paints and do some facepainting; ask the kids what their favorite numbers are hand paint them in white, outlined with their favorite color, or give them racing stripes or flames along their cheeks. This is a great way get everyone in the mood for some Cars-related fun.
Red Light, Green Light… for Cars!
When you are thinking of great automotive games to try, think about playing Red Light, Green Light. When you say “green light,” the kids dash towards you, but when you say “red light” they need to freeze. If anyone moves, they have to go back to the beginning. To give this an automotive spin, have them get down on all fours and make car sounds as they move. You can give awards not only for the person who got to you first, but you can also give awards for the best car performance!
Painting Your Car
If your kids are old enough, give them model cars that they can paint, whether these are roughed out wooden blocks or smaller models. This is great for kids who have been a little worn out by other activities and who need some quiet time.
The Birthday Cake
You have many options when it comes to the birthday cake for a Cars themed party. You can make a Lightning McQueen Cake or Tow Mater Birthday Cakes. Here you will find many childrens birthday cakes that you can make for your Cars themed party.
Treat Bags
You can give the kids these race car candy bar wrappers in their treat bags. They can be personalized with the birthday child's name and whatever else you can think of that is clever to say. You can even hand them out instead of treat bags if you want. The kids will love getting this yummy treat.
