Wiggles Birthday Party Ideas
With taglines like "the world's biggest preschool band" and "your child's first rock band,” it is easy to see why the smash group the Wiggles have done so well with both younger children and adults. Their songs are bright, catchy and lyrical, and with a host of great characters including Dorothy the Dinosaur and Captain Feathersword, you can easily see why they'd win your child's heart. If your child likes the Wiggles and you are looking to throw a really memorable birthday party, why not think of it doing it as a Wiggle-themed birthday party? If you are short of ideas, here are a few to get you started.
Dance party!
When you listen to the music that the Wiggles sing, you'll find that it is hard to sit still. Pick up a few CDs or download them from iTunes, and you'll find that you can keep the party moving. For a great birthday present for the birthday child that can also be played at the party, buy this Wiggles music CD personalized with your child's name where the Wiggles and all their friends actually sing to your child using his or her name. Your child will be absolutely delighted to hear this CD. In any event, put on some favorites and declare impromptu dance contests. Give awards for the best dancers, whether that means that a participant is very graceful or simply very enthusiastic.
Who's who?
When you think of the four distinctive characters that grace the Wiggle's performance, you'll notice how quickly recognizable they are. Print out pictures of each of the band's mascots and stick them to the back of each child. Then, from cues given by the rest of the party, that child will have to guess what is on their back. For instance, for Wags the dog, the other children could bark, and for the Dorothy the Dinosaur, they could do their best dinosaur impression.
Sound Recording
One of the things that distinguishes the Wiggles from other bands is their star power, so why not give your kids and your guests the opportunity to be recording stars? Start by getting a small recording studio set up; all you really need is a tape recorder and a microphone. Have each kid sing their favorite song in and create a great souvenir for them to take home. Some kids will be great soloists and others will want to work in groups, so see what they can do. If you want to get more technical than that, have them sing and put the tracks onto a CD.
Wiggles Birthday Cakes
There are many different ideas for a Wiggles birthday cake such as this Wiggles Logo cake or this really neat Wiggles cake with all of the Wiggles band members in the big red car!
As you can see, the Wiggles have brought a lot in the way of fun and entertainment to kids programming, so make sure that you do not miss out on the chance to have a really great party using some of their themes!
