Ladybug Party Ideas for Your Child's Party
The first thing you might want to start with is the invitations. Here are some cute ladybug invitations that you can have printed and there are even match ladybug candy bar wrappers that can be used as the party favors. If you don't want to wrap them yourself, you can order the ladybug candy bars that come fully wrapped and ready to hand out to the guests.
Next comes the decorations. You can purchase ladybug plates and napkins or simply use red plates and black napkins. If you cannot find little ladybug decorations to hang on the walls, you can create your own. All you need is some red and black construction paper. The body would be a round circle with little black circles all over it for the spots. Place a half circle on one end as the ladybugs head.
This could also be an activity for the kids to do if you are looking for something to entertain them. They can create their own little ladybugs that they can take home with them. As far as games goes, you could play "Pin the spot on the ladybug". Have an almost complete ladybug on the wall but of course, it will be short one spot. Play the game just as you would for "Pin the tail on the donkey", with the exception of course that the children will be trying to place a black spot instead of a tail.
You also want to make sure that the birthday cake is a part of the theme as well. There are a few different ways that you can do this. The easiest of course would be to go to the grocery store or bakery and see if they have a ladybug cake that they can make for you. While this may be the easiest, it is the most expensive option. If you want to make the cake yourself, you will save money and it will be much more fun. There are many ladybug cake designs out there that will either allow you to decorate a sheet cake or create a ladybug cake using cupcakes. The cupcake method might be fun for you since you will not have to cut pieces of cake. Here is another lady bug cake that is easy to make that you can make yourself as well.
Make sure that you are topping off the party location with a bunch of red and black balloons and that all of the gifts are wrapped to match the theme. You might not be interested in wrapping gifts in black wrapping paper but you could use red paper and then cut out circles of black construction paper and adhere them to the wrapped gifts for the ladybug theme.
Of course, there are many other ways you can bring your ladybug party to life. As you get started decorating and baking you are sure to come up with more ways to decorate.
