Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail
Remember that old song? “Here comes Peter Cotton Tail, hoppin’ down the bunny trail…” Well, the traditional tune may have long been forgotten, but Easter is no doubt on its way; and still one of the favorite holidays of the year.
For some, celebrating Easter is a very sacred engagement that includes religious services. For others it is a fun filled holiday full of colorful baskets and a vicious hunt for brightly dyed eggs. One of our favorite Easter pastimes is to fill our dyed eggs with confetti (clearly, the contents of the eggs were emptied before the dying process!) and chase one another around with eggs as weapons. By the end of our escapades, everyone is covered in broken egg shells and confetti, and sometimes a little bit of flour too. Good times had by all.
Any holiday is really about creating memories, isn’t it? Here are a few ways to make your Easter holiday a more memorable one.
Give out personalized candy bars in Easter baskets. Personalized candy bars say that you care like nothing else. There is also the option for personalized candy wrappers to really liven up the Easter basket gifts that you give. For this family fun filled holiday, personalized candy wrappers can be decorated with Easter eggs on both sides of the pastel colored wrapper. You then get to add your own personal message to the recipients of your candy bars with personalized candy wrappers. If a pastel design just won’t fly for those you want to give to, there are also personalized candy wrappers that feature bunnies and brighter colors. What’s really cool about this sort of gift is that it will be a huge hit with kids and adults alike, so you can give an Easter basket to your closest friends and relatives; not just the little ones of the family.
Here’s one you may not have ever heard of before. Plan an Easter costume party for your friends and family. You could have everyone dress up like a famous rabbit (there really are plenty to choose from), or you could think of something else Easter related or related to spring that could make for a great costume. Hosting an Easter costume party is a great way to get all your friends together for some much needed fun as spring begins.
Because Easter falls during the early months of spring, there is sure to be an abundance of new things to see in nature. After you have enjoyed your Easter meal, your adventurous Easter Egg Hunt, and given out your personalized candy bars to all of your guests, you could take everyone out to the nearest nature trail and head out for an afternoon hike. Doing this just gives you more time together and also gets you ready to all the new things spring will bring. On an Easter hike, you may get to see birds that have come back after winter and also new flowers that are in bloom.
Easter is a celebratory day for different reason; but mostly it is a celebration of family and friends. Reach out this Easter to those closest to you and make the most of the day you can spend together.
