Train Birthday Party
For my son's third birthday party, we did a train theme party. Since he was only three and not too into games yet, the activity was a train craft where the kids made a train engine with thier pictures on it as the conductor. I took each of the kids' pictures at the party with my digital camera, then hurried up and printed them out . I bought the train crafts already to go from Oriental Trading where all you had to do was glue the pieces together.
Then, we just set up all of his different train sets on tables for the kids to play with.
The train party favors were wooden train whistles, conductor hats, train stickers and these personalized candy bar wrappers wrapped around chocolate bars.
The invitations were handmade trains with the following inside:

I am going to be adding a category with invitation patterns. I will make sure to include the train invitation pattern in that section.
The cake was this train cake Make sure you check out all of the other train cakes on that site that others have made. They really are fantastic. If you are tayloring your party specifically to Thomas the Tank Engine, then you can make this Thomas the Tank Engine Cake.
It turned out really cute and was a very inexpensive and easy party to put together and was perfect for the age..
