Star Wars Birthday Party Ideas

If you want to throw an out-of-this-world birthday party for your little boy, then consider a star wars themed birthday party.  You don't need all the forces and the powers to host that one of a kind galactic party. Here are some ideas on how to gather all the light sabers, Ewoks, Jedi knights and Wookies in one cool star wars birthday party.

Star Wars Invitations

Once you have decided on the time and venue, next thing to head for are the invitations. It's not hard to make homemade invitations since you can find a lot of star wars resources anywhere. One option is to print images of Yoda and Luke Skywalker on the front of the invitations. Create unique speech bubbles that are related to the theme and add star wars stickers and anything else that you can think of.   Another great idea is to start the text on the invitation in a large font and make the next line of the invitation a size smaller font, then the next line another size smaller and so on and so on to mimic the text that scrolls at the beginning of the Star Wars movies.  Star wars birthday party invitation ideas are endless; just use your out-of-this-world imagination.

Star Wars Decorations

Turning your house into a galaxy is sure to be fun. Make use of available resources that are related to the theme. Print star wars images and posters and tape them to the walls and fences. You can also gather all your kid's star wars toys and make them as decorations in the tables and shelves. To add a touch of a galactic look, put small and big glow-in-the-dark stars to the walls and ceiling. Additionally, hang toy spacecrafts and the nine planets from the ceiling. Use a themed table cloth, utensils, cups and plates. Add a final touch by playing star wars themed music.

Star Wars Games and Activities

Preparing games and activities for that star wars birthday party is easy since there are a lot of star wars games that you can think of.  Some of the game ideas are pass the death star, where kids sit in a circle and pass a confetti-filled balloon around; Jedi vs. Sith, where one Jedi catches Sith (other kids); Jedi obstacle race, where kids line up and race over a pile of chairs, books, pillows, etc; and so many more. Other game ideas are asteroid rock search, pod race, Jedi training, meteor shower and movie scene act out.  Use your imagination in planning for the games, the sky and galaxy are your limit.

Foods and Drinks

For the food, you'll need space popcorn, chocolate light sabers, ice cream, grilled sandwiches, space dogs, veggies and dip, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, star cookies and fruit kabobs. For the drinks, you'll need Yoda soda, strawberry soda, pink space slushies of cherry drinks and fruit juices. You can also bake or buy  star wars cake and cupcakes.

Star Wars Party Favors

Complete the party by giving out party favors such as star wars gummy candies, glow-in-the-dark bracelets, star wars posters, stickers, crayons and yoyos.

With a star wars themed party, your little boy will surely experience a different kind of an extraordinary blast of fun and excitement. A star wars themed party is something your son will never forget, may it be his birthday party or just any other celebration.
